How a Miami yacht rental price is made

Three things make the number: the boat rate for the block of hours, the crew for those hours, and the fuel. Every card on this site adds the three together, so the price you compare is the price you pay; only the crew tip is extra. The boat rate is what moves most. It rises with length and age of boat, with the day of the week (Friday to Sunday and holiday weekends cost more than Monday to Thursday), with the season (peak winter dates, spring travel and event weekends), and with the hours booked, from a three-hour run to a full day of eight.

Two boats of the same length can be hundreds of dollars apart, and the gap is usually age, finish and marina rather than anything you would feel on the water. The lowest totals of all are the small boats on boat rentals in Miami.

What the price includes

  • The boat for the hours shown, private to your group.
  • A licensed captain and crew (a few of the smallest boats price the captain separately, and say so).
  • Fuel for the route and standard cleaning.
  • Ice, water and a cooler, Bluetooth sound, and a water mat on the boats that carry one.

Not in the price: the crew tip, and the add-ons you choose when you book, such as catering, a bartender, decor, a DJ or a jet ski. Each is priced on its own line before you pay. In the plain sense these are all-inclusive yacht charters: the card covers the boat, the crew and the fuel, which is what an all-inclusive charter in Florida usually leaves you to add up.

How the price is paid

Booking online charges the crew and fuel, which holds the boat and the crew for your date and hours; higher-priced boats also take a deposit online, credited back at the dock. The boat balance is paid at the dock on the day by cash or Zelle. If you cancel, the fuel charge is kept as the deposit and the rest comes back. Klarna, Affirm and PayPal Pay Later can spread the online part on eligible bookings.

Questions

How much does a yacht rental cost in Miami?

How much is it to rent a yacht in Miami?
From about $850 for three hours on a boat under 40 ft to about $4,600 for a full day on a yacht of 80 ft or more, captain, crew and fuel included. The table above gives today’s lowest price by boat size and hours, and every card on the list shows its own.
How much is a 4-hour yacht charter in Miami?
Four hours is the most-booked block. Today it starts at about $1,150 on a boat under 40 ft, about $1,400 on a 40 to 54 ft yacht, about $1,500 on 55 to 79 ft and about $2,600 on 80 ft and up; the 4 hours column in the table is read off the fleet, and a boat page shows its exact figure.
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Miami for a day?
A full day is eight hours. It starts at about $2,200 on a boat under 40 ft, about $2,800 on 40 to 54 ft, about $3,000 on 55 to 79 ft and about $4,600 on 80 ft and up, whole charter with captain, crew and fuel.
What is the cost to rent a yacht, in general?
Anywhere, the cost to rent a crewed yacht runs from a few hundred dollars an hour for a small boat to several thousand a day for a superyacht, and the number that matters is whether crew and fuel are inside it. On this fleet they always are: about $850 for three hours up to about $4,600 for a full day on 80 ft and up.
Is the captain included in the price?
Yes. Every yacht on this site is chartered with a licensed captain and crew, and their cost is inside the price on the card; you never drive the boat and need no licence.
Do I tip the crew, and how much?
A tip is at your discretion and is the one thing not in the price. In Miami 15 to 20 percent of the charter is the usual range, handed to the captain at the dock at the end.
Can I rent a yacht in Miami last minute?
Often, yes, on a weekday or an early start. Book online for any boat that still shows your date and hours; for a same-day weekend charter, call or message the team and they say which boats are free.
When is the cheapest time of year to rent a yacht in Miami?
Summer and early autumn weekdays, outside holiday and event weekends. Peak winter dates, spring break and Art Basel push boat rates up; a weekday morning in June, September or October is the low end.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Every price on this site is the whole charter: boat, crew and fuel. The crew tip is the only thing on top, and add-ons are priced on their own line before you pay.
Is a weekday cheaper than a weekend?
Usually, yes. Monday to Thursday has more boats free and lower boat rates than Friday to Sunday, and the free hour on many boats runs on weekdays only.
Do you price-match?
Yes, before payment, on the same boat, date, hours and inclusions from a licensed, insured operator with a public price. Send the link and the team checks it.
What is the cheapest way to rent a yacht in Miami?
A small boat, on a weekday, for three hours, with your own food and drinks and no add-ons. For a group of ten or more, a 40 to 55 ft yacht is often cheaper per person.
