A private party, not a party boat

Every yacht party here is a private charter: the boat, the captain and the crew are yours for the hours you book, with no other groups aboard. The groups who book them are birthday crews from a 21st to a 50th, bachelorette and bachelor weekends, companies rewarding a team, friends in Miami for a long weekend, a pre-game before the clubs, and families who want sun, swimming and music for every age. Every yacht on every yacht rental in Miami can host one; the twelve pink boats on pink yacht rentals in Miami are the favourites for birthdays and bachelorettes.

Kinds of yacht party

  • Daytime sandbar party: floaties, music, drinks and swimming at the Nixon or Haulover sandbar.
  • Sunset party: a mellow start, golden-hour photos and champagne before the night begins.
  • Night party: louder music and the lit skyline before you head out in Miami.
  • DJ and bottle-service style: upgraded sound and decor, a nightclub on the water.
  • A chill boat day: more lounging and talking, less full send.
  • Sandbar and skyline: part swim, part cruise, with Miami behind every photo.

Sample itineraries

  • Daytime sandbar party, 4 hours: a midday departure past the islands and the waterfront mansions, anchor at a sandbar to float and swim, then the scenic ride back.
  • Sunset and city lights, 3 to 4 hours: a late-afternoon start, drinks at golden hour, then a slow cruise past the Miami and Brickell skyline after dark.
  • Night pre-game, 3 hours: an early-evening departure with the music up, back at the dock in time for dinner or the club.
  • Full-send boat day, 6 hours: two swim stops, time for photos and the sunset skyline on the way home.

How planning works

Send the date, the time window, the group size, a budget, where you are staying and what you are celebrating. The team sends a shortlist of boats that fit, you choose the route and the time, add the music, decor and extras, then pay the crew and fuel online to hold the boat. The group gets a short message with where to go, when to arrive and what to bring, ready to drop into the group chat. Arrive 20 to 30 minutes before departure: the boat leaves on time.

Music, drinks and add-ons

Every charter includes the captain, crew, fuel, a water mat, ice, water and a Bluetooth sound system: bring your playlist. Guests 21 and over may bring their own drinks; most boats ask for no glass, red wine or confetti on deck. Bring your own food and cake, or add catering, a private chef, a bartender or open bar, balloons and decor, a DJ, a photographer or a jet ski, each priced on its own line when you book. The full list is on Miami yacht services. For more than thirteen guests, see large group yacht charters in Miami.

Paying and splitting the cost

The price on each card is the whole charter for the hours shown: boat, crew and fuel. The crew and fuel are paid online to book, and the boat balance is paid at the dock by cash or Zelle. The team can split the online payment across several cards with links for the group chat, and Klarna, Affirm and PayPal Pay Later are open on eligible charters, as set out on payment and financing options. The crew gratuity is not included and is always appreciated.

Questions

Yacht party questions

How many people can come to a yacht party in Miami?
Up to 13 guests on a private yacht, whatever its length. A bigger party books an inspected event vessel or two yachts rafted up together.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes, guests 21 and over. Ice, water and a cooler are on board; the crew stays sober and most boats ask for no glass or red wine.
How long should a yacht party be?
Four hours suits a sandbar party; three to four a sunset or night run; six for a full day with two stops and the sunset on the way back.
Can we have a DJ on the yacht?
Yes. Every boat has Bluetooth sound, and a DJ can be added on boats with the deck space and power for one.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain rarely stops a party. If the captain judges it unsafe, the charter is delayed, rerouted or moved to another date under the boat’s weather policy.
How much does a yacht party in Miami cost?
From about $850 for three hours and $1,150 for four on a boat under 40 ft, about $1,050 and $1,400 on a 40 to 54 ft yacht for the full 13, captain, crew and fuel included. Decor, catering, a bartender or a DJ are added on their own lines; weekends cost more than weekdays.
Is a Miami boat party the same as a party boat?
Here a boat party is your group alone on a private boat with its captain, up to 13 guests. A party boat for 20, 30 or more is a Coast Guard inspected event vessel, quoted per event; both are booked through the same team.
How much is a party boat rental in Miami?
A private party boat for up to 13 starts at about $825 for two hours and $850 for three, captain, crew and fuel included, about $63 to $65 a head when the boat is full. A party boat for 20 or more is an inspected event vessel, quoted per event.
Where do Miami yacht parties leave from?
From the boat’s own marina, shown on its card with a map: South Beach and Miami Beach Marina, Downtown and Brickell, Coconut Grove, the Miami River and Haulover. The sandbars, Star Island and the skyline are reached from all of them.
