Art Basel Yacht Parties Miami

Who books a yacht for Art Basel

• Galleries: collector previews and artist evenings away from the convention floor.
• Brands and sponsors: activations with a step-and-repeat, a media wall and a planned guest flow.
• Collectors and VIP groups: dinners and cocktails between the fair, the parties and the satellite shows.
• Client entertainment: a route planned around fair hours and Art Week traffic.
• Private celebrations: a birthday or an announcement staged during Basel week.

The other occasions, from birthdays to weddings, are on Miami yacht parties.

Time slots and routes

The most requested blocks are a daytime “gallery break” between fair visits, a sunset pre-game before the parties on land, and a night skyline party with a DJ; evening charters usually run four to six hours. Routes take in the Miami Beach Marina, the Venetian Islands, the downtown skyline and Biscayne Bay, which make the backdrops for photos and press. Boarding is near Miami Beach, Downtown or the Venetian area, chosen from your hotel and the fairs you are visiting that day; the captain plans around the traffic and the bridge openings. Where the water and the docks allow, a loop route or a tender pickup from a private dock can move guests between events.

Yachts and layouts

Modern motor yachts with open decks, a saloon and a bar; DJ-ready decks with power for lighting and AV; and upper decks and bow seating made for photo and video. A private yacht carries up to thirteen; a gallery event or brand launch with more guests books an event yacht, set out on large group yacht charters in Miami. Pricing during Art Week

Art Basel is one of Miami’s busiest weeks on the water, so many boats charge event rates above a normal weekend, especially in the evening on the main fair days, and some suspend the free hour; the team confirms both for your date in writing. The lowest prices are on daytime or sunset blocks, smaller yachts, and marinas a little away from South Beach and the convention centre. Proposals list the yacht, the crew, the timing and each extra, catering, bar, decor, DJ and AV, on its own line, so sponsors and partners can each approve their share. Dates are held weeks or months ahead and last-minute space is limited. Found a listing elsewhere? Send it; the team explains what it includes and applies the price match policy where it qualifies.

Music, decor and catering

DJs, playlists and lighting are welcome; how loud depends on the yacht, the local sound rules and whether you are cruising, anchored or at the dock. Bring your own champagne and catering, light branding and small installations that do not mark the yacht, or let the team arrange the catering and bar. December weather can turn quickly: light rain means a changed route or the covered deck, and unsafe conditions mean a delay or a new date under the yacht’s policy.
