Miami Sightseeing Yacht Tours

A Miami sightseeing yacht tour is a private boat tour of the city from the water: Star Island and the mansions of Millionaire’s Row, the Downtown and Brickell skyline, the causeways, the Miami River and Government Cut, at your own pace with your own captain. Two hours covers the highlights; three or four lets you see it all with a stop.

What you see from the water

  • Star, Palm and Hibiscus Islands: the waterfront estates, celebrity homes and big yachts.
  • Downtown and Brickell: the skyline from the middle of Biscayne Bay.
  • The causeways: MacArthur, Venetian and Rickenbacker, for the classic shots.
  • The Miami River: working boats, restaurants and older waterfront, with the right timing.
  • South Beach and Government Cut: the port and the channel to the ocean, when it is safe.
  • Mangroves and quiet coves: manatees, dolphins and seabirds on a nature route, conditions permitting.

Every tour is private: just your group, your captain and your route. Tours by time of day and other charter lengths are on Miami yacht charters.

How long a tour takes

  • Two-hour highlights: a focused loop of the islands and the skyline with a few photo stops.
  • Three hours with a stop: touring plus a calm spot for drinks, photos or a quick swim.
  • Four hours, see it all: Millionaire’s Row, the river, the islands and the skyline without rushing.

For golden-hour light, time the tour with sunset yacht rentals in Miami; the places themselves are described on Miami yacht destinations.

Commentary, comfort and photos

Many captains talk about what you are passing in a relaxed way, and the team plans in English or Spanish. Captains pause in scenic spots for group photos, most boats are BYOB for guests 21 and over, and for older guests or small children the team picks boats with more shade and easier boarding. Each card shows the whole charter, boat, crew and fuel, for the hours shown. The crew and fuel are paid online to book and the boat balance at the dock by cash or Zelle; Klarna, Affirm and PayPal Pay Later are open on eligible charters, as set out on payment and financing options.

Questions

Sightseeing tour questions

How long is a Miami boat tour?
Two hours for the highlights; three to four hours to add the Miami River, Millionaire’s Row and a stop.
Will we see celebrity homes?
Yes. Star Island, Palm and Hibiscus are on most routes, with the waterfront estates seen from the bay.
Is there a tour guide?
Your captain gives light commentary on most tours; tell the team if you want more or less of it, or Spanish.
Can we see dolphins or manatees?
Often, on quieter routes and calm days, but sightings are never guaranteed.
Is the tour shared with other people?
No. Every tour is a private charter for your group alone.
How much does a private sightseeing boat tour of Miami cost?
From about $825 for two hours and $850 for three on a boat under 40 ft, captain, crew and fuel included, for up to 13 guests; that is the whole boat, not a per-person ticket.
Does the tour pass Star Island and the celebrity homes?
Yes. The standard route idles past Star, Palm and Hibiscus Islands and the waterfront estates, then the Venetian Islands and the Downtown and Brickell skyline; the captain points out the houses.
