Jet Ski Rentals in Fort Lauderdale
Jet skis in Fort Lauderdale come two ways with Feeling Yachty: towed behind your yacht for the sandbar day, or rented by the hour from the Hollywood and Hallandale docks from about $150 an hour. Anyone born after 1 January 1988 who drives one needs Florida’s boater safety card, which takes an hour online; passengers need nothing.
Fort Lauderdale Yacht Charters — By the Hour, Day, Weekend or Week
Jet skis with your yacht charter
Added at booking, the jet skis meet the yacht at the dock or at the sandbar and run alongside for the day; the yacht is the base and the cooler. The full-day version is on day yacht rentals.
Hourly jet ski rental
From about $150 an hour per ski from the Hollywood and Hallandale docks, two riders to a ski, with a briefing and a life jacket each. The bachelor party version is on bachelor and bachelorette boats.
Do you need a licence to ride a jet ski in Florida?
Anyone born on or after 1 January 1988 who operates a personal watercraft needs a Florida boating safety education card or a temporary certificate, which the state issues online after a short course. Riders must be 14 to operate and 18 to rent. A passenger needs neither.
Where you can ride
The Intracoastal is idle-speed in most of Fort Lauderdale, so the riding is in the wider water: south of Dania Beach, around the sandbar, and out the inlet on a calm day. The crew marks the lines on a map before you go.
Prices
About $150 an hour per ski; a half-day pair with the yacht is quoted with the charter on Fort Lauderdale yacht charters. Fuel is in the hourly rate.
