Panama Yacht Charter Prices — by Route, Hour and Boat

In Panama the route sets the price more than the clock: a 36 ft yacht is about $1,560 for five hours on the bay, $2,015 for eight hours to Taboga and $2,600 for eight hours to Contadora, because the Pearl Islands crossing burns the fuel. Boat prices start at $800 (33 ft) and run to $3,740 (54 ft catamaran); the 90 ft Broward is quoted.

Prices by route

Three routes cover most charters. Panama Bay, 3 to 5 hours: from about $800 on a 33 ft boat, $1,100 on a 36 ft, $1,300 on a 47 ft and $1,900 on a 55 ft. Taboga, 6 to 8 hours: from about $1,400, roughly a third more than the bay on the same boat. Contadora and the Pearl Islands, 8 to 10 hours: from about $2,200, and $3,740 on the 54 ft catamaran. Every boat’s figure is on Panama yacht rentals; the hours behind each route are on Taboga and the other destination pages.

What is included and what is extra

Included: the captain and crew, ice and water, safety gear and Bluetooth sound. Charged by route at checkout: fuel. Extra: the tip, and the add-ons you choose (catering, a chef, a DJ, transport).

Cheapest ways to charter in Panama

A weekday, a three-hour bay cruise, a boat under 40 ft, or the $98 Contadora ferry when the island matters more than the yacht. The hidden costs are two: the fuel line, set by the route, and the tip, 10 to 15 percent of the boat for the crew. Both are answered on the Panama yacht rental FAQ.

Deposit and payment

Crew and fuel are paid online to hold the date; the boat balance is paid at the dock in cash, Zelle or card. Panama uses the US dollar, so every figure here is what you pay.

Questions

Panama charter price questions

How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Panama for a day?
A full day of eight hours runs from about $1,400 to Taboga and from about $2,200 to Contadora or the Pearl Islands, by boat size, with captain and crew included.
Why does Contadora cost more than Taboga?
Distance: Taboga is 12 nautical miles from Amador and Contadora is 38, so the fuel is three times as much on the same boat.
Is fuel included?
Fuel is charged by route at checkout, so a bay cruise and a Pearl Islands day on the same boat carry different fuel lines.
Do you charge in US dollars?
Yes. Panama’s currency is the US dollar.
